Experiences

This is always my go to big ticket gift item for my significant other. There is something so special in giving the gift of life-long memories. It just warms my heart! I love gifting tickets to sporting events, weekend getaways, and concerts. There are so many options when it comes to this category and nobody knows your man quite like you do, so get creative and find something fun to do together that is within your budget!

GoPro

The GoPro basically speaks for itself, they’re known to be the best in the market and in my opinion they have definitely lived up to that title! They can be used for anything from simple family videos to epic adventures – there is no stopping you from capturing all the important moments in your life with one of these in hand. They’re practically indestructible and the quality of the photos/videos it takes are phenomenal. What I love about the GoPro is that it is super easy to use which means you don’t have to be a pro to get beautiful high quality content, anyone can use it!

Garmin InReach Mini

Do you have a special person in your life that likes to go on solo adventures? If so, this is the perfect gift to give you some peace of mind while they’re out of service! The Garmin InReach Mini allows you to communicate with any cellphone number, email address, or other Garmin tracking device while exploring areas that go beyond cell coverage. You can share your location with family and friends so they can see live updates of your location and God forbid anything happens while out on the trails, you can send an SOS! The Garmin InReach Mini has so many features that will help your peace of mind, its worth the splurge!

Benchmade Bugout Knife

If you’re looking to get your man a pocket knife this year, the Benchmade Bugout Knife is the way to go! It’s super lightweight and durable making it a perfect choice for everyday use. The reviews on this are amazing and I will definitely be adding one of these to my own personal wish list. Bonus: you can completely customize your Benchmade knife on their website! So COOL!

RTIC Cooler

I am obsessed with Rtic! Their coolers and drink wear are a fraction of the cost of competitor brands without sacrificing any quality! I mean it when I say I don’t think I will ever buy another brand of cooler ever again. This ultralight cooler is 30% lighter than roto-molded coolers plus it comes with a divider and basket at no extra cost!! Need I say more?

Patagonia Better Sweater

They’re comfy. They’re warm. They’re stylish. They’re the perfect comfort gift for that special person in your life! Patagonia nailed it with this design! The Patagonia Better Sweater is warm like a fleece jacket but it looks like a sweater, plus it comes in various different styles and colors! Your man will live in this for years to come, I promise!

Camelbak Hydration Pack

If the person you’re shopping for doesn’t have a CamelBak, this is a fantastic gift idea! They have so many different styles and sizes to choose from, there is something for every activity. I personally love the CamelBak Lobo Hydration Pack, it has a 3L water bladder which is enough to last all day on a long run or ride and has a 6L storage compartment for gear, snacks, and a few personal items!

Merrell Hut Mocs

I mean it when I say Merrell’s Hut Mocs are my new favorite everyday shoe! They’re comfy and warm like a slipper, but they have an EVA sole (kinda like crocs)! They’re perfect for around the house or even to take to the resorts with you to give your feet a break from your ski boots while you have lunch! This year they came out with an exclusive “Cozy Hut Moc” which is made with Sherpa, but they also have the original hut moc which is made with down. Either one you choose, you cant go wrong.

LuminAID Lamp

These lights were designed by architecture students in NYC after an earthquake hit Haiti. They wanted to find a way to help the survivors after the tragic event. The LuminAID Lantern is solar and battery powered, waterproof, shatterproof, lightweight and can last up to 100 hours. I love that their newest model has a red light and is self inflating! On top of all of that, it can even charge your phone! There is a reason REI rated it the best backpacking lantern!

Socks

I know, it seems like such a lame gift idea, but seriously, everyone needs socks so why not use the holiday as an excuse to get your loved one some really nice socks! There are so many ways you can go with this, but here are some of my favorite options for this year!

Pro Compression  Marathon Compression Socks: I have a pair and they’re amazing, worth the price, I PROMISE! Plus they have a TON of colors to choose from. **Cyber week sale prices as low as $19 (normally $50)**

Darn Tough: They’re warm, they’re comfy, and they’re Merino wool! Darn tough is my favorite brand when it comes to hiking & skiing socks!

Smartwool PhD Run Elite: I love these socks for running, theyre wool which wicks away moisture and decreases the chances of blisters! They are also great for the gym or everyday use!

Hats and Gloves

What person doesn’t love a good pair of gloves and a nice hat? My top picks right now are these Merino wool tech liner gloves and the tentree Altitude Juniper hat. Tentree is an amazing brand and every item you purchase from them plants 10 trees! That in itself is a great reason to get this hat! The gloves are by SmartWool and honestly, I want some for myself. They have a simple design and the tech compatibility makes them great for everyday use!

Sawyer Mini Water Filter

This little thing packs a punch! I love that it can be attached to water bottles or a hydration bladder or used as a straw! You can drink straight from the creek with this thing! It has a 100,000 gallon filtration capacity and kills 99.99% of bacteria! Everyone needs A Sawyer Mini Water Filter in their hiking bag!
